What to Know Before You Arrive

We want your experience at Yellowstone Holiday to be seamless from start to finish. Please take a moment to review our reservation policies, cancellation terms, and guest guidelines. These details help us maintain a comfortable, welcoming environment for every guest while ensuring your stay is as smooth as possible.

We will begin taking reservations for the 2027 summer season at 8:00 AM Mountain time on May 1, 2026. You can easily make your reservation from this website. Reservations will also be taken by phone at 406-646-4242.

Yellowstone Holiday Resort Rules and Guidelines


  • Quiet time is 10:00 pm to 7:00 am. Please be considerate of others.
  • Drive slowly! Children at play. Speed limit is 5 mph.
  • Children must be adult supervised at all times. Be aware of the lake and vehicles.
  • For your safety, no playing or fishing on the boat launch ramp or boat docks. No swimming in the boat marina area.
  • All dogs must be on a leash and all dog waste must be picked up. Dogs must not be left unattended at any time. Dog owners must be responsible for their dog’s actions and behaviors.
  • Smoking in buildings is strictly prohibited and will result in a violation fee and eviction.
  • Campfires are allowed in fire rings at designated areas only.
  • Please clean your fish ONLY at the Fish Cleaning Station. It is located next to the garage across from the office/store.
  • All RV sewer hoses must be properly secured to the sewer opening.
  • Mats and rugs are not allowed on the grass areas.
  • No boat trailers are allowed in the cabin or RV areas – except for loading or unloading. Park your boat trailer in approved parking areas only.
  • We DO NOT offer overflow parking or dry camping for RVs. RVs will only be parked in paid RV sites.
  • Tent camping is not allowed.
  • Fireworks are strictly prohibited on the property. Dogs and roofs don’t like them!

Is Yellowstone Holiday located in Yellowstone National Park?
No, we are a campground that is located about 13 miles from the west entrance of the Park on the shores of Hebgen Lake.


How close is the nearest town?
West Yellowstone is the nearest town. It is also located about 13 miles away.


When do you open and close for business?
We are open from May 15-September 30 (subject to change).


What is check-in and check-out time?
Check-in is 2pm and check-out is 11am.


What if I need to cancel or leave early?
RV Sites: 48-hour notice for return of payment, less a $25 cancellation fee.
Cabins: 14-day notice for return of payment, less a $25 cancellation fee.
No refunds for early departures.


What is your pet policy?
We do allow pets in our cabins for $35 for length of stay with manager approval. We provide doggie bags throughout the campground for your convenience. Please clean up after them!


Do you provide bedding, towels, and kitchen utensils for the cabins?
The Elk Haven cabins are equipped with a bathroom and a small kitchenette, which includes a coffee maker, microwave and small fridge. Kitchen utensils are not provided in cabins. The Bear Necessities cabin is a sleeping cabin only. A variety of linen packages and individual linen items are available for rent; however, you are welcome and encouraged to bring your own. Please call the office at 406-646-4242 to discuss your linen needs.


Do the cabins have heat?
Yes, the Elk Haven and Bear Necessities are provided with space heaters.


How big is Hebgen Lake?
Hebgen Lake stretches more than 16 miles long and 4 miles wide. It is a spectacular backdrop for your entire vacation!


Are there boats allowed on the lake?
Yes! Motorized and non-motorized boats are allowed on the lake. We have some of the best dry fly fishing in North America. Or if fishing isn’t your thing, strap on your water skis or wakeboard for some of the best flat water you’ll find anywhere in Montana.


Do you have boats for rent?
Yes! We rent powered fishing boats, paddleboards, kayaks, canoes and a 22′ Harris Pontoon Boat (seats 10). We also have a fuel dock at the marina for your convenience.


How much is the launch fee at the marina?
The launch fee is $10 per day. If you don’t want to pull your boat out, you can rent one of our boat slips for the length of your stay. (Note: the launch fee is included when you rent a boat slip.)


Are fishing licenses required in order to fish in Hebgen Lake?
Yes, you can purchase them in our store.



Do you have fire pits available for use?
Yes. The Premium/Lakeside and East RV sites have individual fire pits. The North RV sites are provided portable fire pits at no charge, if available. Fire pits are placed intermittently in front of the cabins. Firewood is available for purchase in the store.

Open early May through the end of September (weather permitting), visitors can stay in a cozy cabin, or park their RV at one of our 36 sites. Only 15 minutes from the West Entrance to Yellowstone National Park
